Our Research Reading Room is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Staffed by friendly, helpful volunteers, there to assist you.
If your ancestors lived in Norfolk, we probably have the surviving historical record. Research Admission: $5 each, free to Society members.

Juggling Chainsaws!

From 10:00am to 3:00pm local artist Ed Chapple will be showing off his chainsaw skills on the front lawn at the Museum. See his carvings, see the new museum exhibit.

TOOL TIME, 7:00 PM

Get out your antique tools and those gadgets you can't quite figure out. Bring them to the Norfolk Heritage Centre to get them identified. Members of the Tool Group of Canada will be speaking about woodworking tools and other oddities begining at 7:00pm; Show & Tell and Q&A to follow.

Admission is $10/person; $8 for Norfolk Historical Society members. Presented in conjunction with the current display about Norfolk County furniture and woodworking, "Let The Chips Fall Where They May".

August 14, 2023 "They Had A Dream" -- the history of the St. Williams Forestry Station

One of Norfolk County's beloved local authors, Harry B. Barrett has written another book! This one details the story of Canada's first forest farm. Harry will be at the Norfolk Heritage Centre to speak about his research and the stories that he uncovered. Admission is $10/person; $8/Norfolk Historical Society or Port Rowan-South Walsingham Heritage Association
member. 7:00pm-9:00pm

Limited copies of his book are on sale at the NHC, while quantities last.
