Our Research Reading Room is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Staffed by friendly, helpful volunteers, there to assist you.
If your ancestors lived in Norfolk, we probably have the surviving historical record. Research Admission: $5 each, free to Society members.

Carillon Tower concert and lecture by Ottawa's Dominion Carillonneur Gordon Slater. A joint presentation with Norfolk County Heritage & Culture.  Outdoor concert begins at 2pm, followed by the lecture at the Heritage Centre.  Bring your own lawn chairs to the concert.

"Hatched, Matched & Dispatched"
 --an exhibit that exams the customs and rituals around birth,  marriage, and death.  Highlights include a Victorian funeral in the front parlour.  Special thanks to Bob Andrews, Mike Bonaccorso, James Christison and Port Dover Harbour Museum.

Victorian Mourning Customs.

Hey Kids! Visit the Eva Brook Donly Museum for a 'howling good time' of spooky tours and maybe a creepy craft or two. Admission: $5 per person. Special thanks to Giant Tiger (Simcoe) for their contributions!

Come see photos, paintings, insignia, weapons and trophies related to the Norfolk Militia, with commentary by Bob Blakely, author of The Civilian Soldier.
2:00pm to 4:00pm. Admission: $4; light refreshments & book signing.
10 Nov An Evening with Colonel Robert and Mrs. Nichol
An intimate view of social and military aspects of the War of 1812, with military re-enactors and a tantalizing presentation on the "language of the fan" by Mrs. Nichol!
7:00pm to 10:00pm. $10 admission includes refreshments.

"Cantelon Rides Again
... A History of Norfolk County Through Art"

--different art forms created or inspired by W. Edgar Cantelon
 

"Cantelon Rides Again" will offer glimpses of old Norfolk as well as new Norfolk. Four different themes will be presented throughout the duration of the exhibition. This show, where Cantelon meets contemporary,  is presented in cooperation with the members of  Norfolk ArtsCo and individual artists.
